  • 4 black tea bags or 4 tsp loose leaf
  • 1 large orange (zested and juiced)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a saucepan. While waiting, zest the orange.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags, cinnamon sticks, and orange zest (plus star anise if desired). Cover and steep for 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Juice the orange while the tea steeps. After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher, stir in freshly squeezed juice, and sweeten as desired.
  4. Allow tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating until chilled.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with orange slices and optional cinnamon sticks or star anise.
