  • 1 pound ripe Roma tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (or substitute with a mix of fruit juice and vinegar)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons olive oil with minced garlic. Brush the mixture onto each baguette slice.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden brown.
