  • 1 lb. lean ground beef (96/4)
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 2 tsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup light mayonnaise (90g)
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (100g)
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles (chopped)
  • 1.5 Tbsp. pickle juice
  • 8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (56g)

  • chopped tomato

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, spray nonstick spray and add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until browned, breaking it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, yellow mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let simmer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine light mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped pickles, and pickle juice to make the special sauce.
  4. In serving bowls, layer shredded lettuce as the base followed by the seasoned beef mixture. Drizzle generously with special sauce and top with cheese and desired toppings.
