  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apple pieces (100 g)
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small pan, toast pecan pieces over medium heat until fragrant; set aside.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into 1/2-inch chunks.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in apples and toasted pecans; pour into a greased 8×8 baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown on top; check doneness with a toothpick.
